If you're starting from the beginning and need a standard/corporate template created before even thinking about the content, you know what an overwhelming endeavor that can be! (more)
You need someone who is able to translate your/your company values and USP into something that the audience hears loud and clear; to take what is great and stand out about your company and take it to the next level with design. After coming up to speed on you/your company (mission, values, culture, etc.) and reviewing any existing logos, website design, slogans, colors, or other branding elements you already have, I can come back with several look and feel design schemes for you to choose from. We'll keep going back to the drawing board or tweaking until it's just right.
The best templates are created by those who most often have to work within their constraints. Templates should ideally keep brand/company presence throughout the presentation, while leaving tons of real estate for actual slide content. I can make sure both of those things happen. Also, proper use of the slide master tool in PowerPoint (or page design, headers, and footers in Word) makes for dummy-proof slide/page creation in the future so anyone within your organization can pick up the template and get to work. I know the common pitfalls in slide master creation and can help you avoid them.
I see presentations time and time again that make no lasting impression and the content is completely missed because the design was not expert. I'd love to step in and make sure this doesn't happen to you! (more)
Years of writing reports and giving presentations that had to create action within organizations and influence stakeholders has afforded me the ability to bring your ideas to life with my imagination and design capabilities. We'll discuss your goals, venue limitations, audience, and content and create the most compelling version of your content we can for your budget using many of the following tools:
Great! We'll start with what you have and go from there! (more)
I have plenty of experience updating existing presentations to make them more engaging, dynamic, and relevant. We'll add beautiful stock photos where we need them, redesign visuals and shapes to look more state-of-the-art, and make sure the design scheme is implemented consistently throughout your document I can help you rethink content as needed, and design powerful visuals to help you tell your story. You will walk away with this information packaged exactly as you need it, ready for prime time, to use over and over again!
Absolutely. Have your own videos you'd like to use? I can put my video editing experience to good use. (more)
Need help finding and implementing captivating stock video segments into your report? I know where to look. Video is a powerful media element that's a snap to incorporate into a deck if you know what you're doing. There are several options and we can discuss which of them works best for your purposes and presentation circumstances.
I'd love to get my hands dirty here! (more)
I come from a market research background where complex data was not only dense, it was often the whole presentation! I learned how to make pages and pages of data engaging, one chart after another, holding audience interest. I can take confusing displays of information and make them easily digestible for your audience.
The issue of creating beautiful presentations that can be printed and shared is an important one, and many designers do not understand what their work looks like printed out; I am the exception. (more)
I will design your presentation, or a version of it, that prints nicely without adjustment so you can focus on other things!
Sure! (more)
I am happy to put your presentation together in Prezi (yes, it is exciting!), although I have suggestions for when Prezi is better and when PowerPoint is better. We'll get it packaged however you need it!
Animation is my specialty. If your presentation venue is the right one, populating slides bit by bit and building visuals up as you cover their parts can make all the difference in your results. (more)
Just keeping the screen in motion can keep your audience waiting for your next sentence. There are a lot of elaborate things that can be accomplished in PowerPoint rarely seen because designers don't have the time or expertise to execute and presenters fear looking unpolished or corny. There are lots of options in between the boring "fade in" and the off-putting "boomerang." Your presentation can be exciting without looking like a devil's playground of all PowerPoint can offer. I can recommend transitions and animations as appropriate to your content (Meaning: let's not add them in "just because;" let's add them in because they drive your points home, keep your audience interested, and demonstrate your ability to present effectively and professionally).
All the time! (more)
I'm incredibly creative when it comes to rethinking any content that needs to make more of an impact. Maybe you have a slow moment in the presentation, or a weak spot in the report, or need help filling in the gaps when content is thin. Maybe you have the opposite problem; there's too much text and you need help thinning it down! I see presentations everyday and can advise you here, having seen what works and what doesn't!
